Thailand & Malaysia: Thailand and Malysia have three main seasons: the hot season (March to May), the rainy season (June to October), and the cool season (November to February). During the hot season, temperatures can average around 30-35°C with high humidity, and sunshine hours of around 8-9 hours per day. The rainy season brings cooler temperatures averaging around 25-30°C and can have around 6-7 hours of sunshine per day. The rain can make the landscape in Thailand & Malysia look more vibrant and lusher, making it a beautiful time to explore each country’s natural beauty. The cool season is the most pleasant with lower humidity, temperatures around 20-30°C, and around 8-9 hours of sunshine per day. It's important to note that temperatures can vary depending on the region(s) you're visiting, and that temperature as low as 5-10°C in the night is not uncommon in Thailand’s Northwest region.
Sumatra: Sumatra has a tropical rainforest climate with two main seasons: the dry season (February to September) and the rainy season (October to January). During the dry season, temperatures can range from 23-32°C with lower humidity and plenty of sunshine, averaging around 8 hours of sunshine per day. Rainfall is infrequent, with an average of around 100 mm per month. During the rainy season, temperatures are slightly cooler at 22-31°C, with high humidity and frequent rain showers, averaging around 5-6 hours of sunshine per day. Rainfall is much higher, with an average of around 200-300 mm per month.
Bali: Bali has a tropical climate with two main seasons: the dry season (April to September) and the rainy season (October to March). During the dry season, temperatures can range from 27-32°C with low humidity and plenty of sunshine, averaging around 9 hours of sunshine per day. Rainfall is infrequent, with an average of around 60 mm per month.
During the rainy season, temperatures are slightly cooler at 25-29°C, with higher humidity and more frequent rain showers, averaging around 6 hours of sunshine per day. While Bali's rainy season brings occasional rainfall, it also offers a lush and vibrant landscape with breathtaking views of green rice paddies and gushing waterfalls. The rain adds to the island's natural beauty and provides a pleasant relief from the heat. Additionally, the rainy season is a quieter time with fewer tourists, making it an ideal time to enjoy the island's cultural events. The rain showers are typically short-lived, leaving the rest of the day for exploring Bali's many attractions.
