The smart way to island-hop Indonesia
Indonesia is one of the most diverse destinations in Southeast Asia. With more than 17,000 islands, every region offers something different. You could be hiking to the summit of an active volcano at sunrise, snorkelling alongside colourful marine life, wandering through ancient temples or relaxing on a tropical beach: all in the same trip.
Travelling independently is certainly possible, but moving between islands, arranging ferries, domestic flights and accommodation takes time and careful planning. On a KILROY small group adventure, we've already done the hard work for you. Your route is carefully planned, transport is arranged and experienced local guides introduce you to the country's culture, food and hidden gems. That means you can experience more in less time. Choose your Indonesian adventure
No two travellers explore Indonesia in the same way, which is why we offer different styles of group adventures. Whether you want to immerse yourself in a single destination or experience several islands in one trip, there's an itinerary to match your travel style.
You could spend your entire adventure discovering Bali, with its temples, surf beaches, rice terraces and waterfalls, or venture further afield and experience Indonesia's incredible diversity. Island-hop from Bali to Nusa Lembongan, Gili Trawangan and Lombok, head east to Flores and Komodo National Park, explore the volcanoes and ancient temples of Java, or trek through the rainforests of Sumatra in search of orangutans.
Travelling with a small group makes exploring multiple islands surprisingly easy, as all the transport, logistics and planning are already taken care of. That means you can simply enjoy the adventure and see far more than if you had to organise it all yourself.

Many of our Indonesia adventures include Bali, but not all of them. We also offer dedicated Bali group adventures if you'd like to spend more time exploring the island itself.
We offer both 18-to-thirtysomething group adventures and Classic group trips for travellers of all ages. Whichever you choose, you'll travel with people who share your curiosity and love of adventure.

Depending on your itinerary, you could hike volcanoes, snorkel or dive, visit temples, learn to surf, explore rice terraces, spot wildlife, island-hop by boat or experience Indonesia's unique local culture.
Every trip is different, but accommodation, transport throughout the itinerary, selected activities and the guidance of experienced local tour leaders are typically included. You'll find a full overview on each individual trip page.
Yes, but your options are a little more limited. We offer one group trip that is suitable for 17-year-old travellers. If you're under 18 and interested in joining a group adventure, get in touch with one of our travel experts. Travelling independently gives you flexibility, but travelling between islands requires careful planning. A group adventure removes the hassle of organising ferries, flights and accommodation while giving you access to local knowledge, authentic experiences and a ready-made group of travel companions.

Go on a group trip to Bali: the island that has it all
There's a reason Bali remains one of the world's favourite destinations for young travellers. The island combines beautiful beaches, lush rice terraces, waterfalls, volcanoes, vibrant nightlife and a unique Hindu culture, all within relatively short travel distances. It's the kind of place where you can start your day with a sunrise hike, spend the afternoon surfing or visiting temples and finish with dinner overlooking the ocean.
Travelling Bali with a small group allows you to experience much more than the typical tourist hotspots. Explore hidden beaches, local villages and scenic viewpoints with the help of experienced guides while sharing the adventure with fellow travellers. And if you fall in love with the island (which happens a lot!), we can help you extend your trip. Stay a little longer to keep surfing, explore more of Bali at your own pace or continue travelling with the new friends you've made along the way. Whether Bali is your main destination or the starting point for a wider Indonesia adventure, it's a place you'll never forget.
