This itinerary lasts approximately 3 to 4 weeks, including a 17-day Morocco adventure tour and a 4-day Mount Toubkal trek. The exact duration can be customized to suit your travel plans.
The Mount Toubkal trek is considered moderately challenging and requires a good level of fitness. The summit reaches 4,167 metres, and hikers are rewarded with incredible views of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech Plain, and Sahara Desert.
Morocco is generally considered one of the safest and most popular travel destinations in North Africa, welcoming millions of international visitors every year. Major tourist destinations such as Marrakech, Fès, Chefchaouen, Essaouira, and the Sahara Desert are well-established on the tourism trail and are regularly visited by travellers from around the world.
As with any destination, it's important to use common sense and stay aware of your surroundings, particularly in busy markets and crowded city centres where petty theft can occasionally occur. When travelling with organised tours and experienced local guides, navigating the country is straightforward and hassle-free. Morocco is also known for its warm hospitality, and many visitors highlight the friendliness and generosity of local people as one of the most memorable parts of their trip.
Morocco can be visited year-round, but spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) generally offer the most comfortable temperatures for sightseeing, desert adventures, and trekking.
