Best time to visit Cambodia
Cambodia has a tropical climate, meaning it's warm throughout the year. The seasons are generally divided into a dry season and a rainy season. Temperatures remain high year-round, with March, April and May being the hottest months. This is a great time to visit if you're planning to spend most of your trip relaxing on the beach. If you're exploring Angkor Wat during this period, it's a good idea to visit early in the morning or seek shade during the hottest part of the afternoon.
The rainy season runs from May to November, with the heaviest rainfall usually occurring in September and October. During these months, it can rain for long periods, and the combination of heat and humidity can make the weather feel quite intense. Unlike neighbouring countries such as Vietnam and Thailand, Cambodia's climate is fairly consistent across the country, so you won't find major regional differences.
