Laos has a tropical climate and can be visited year-round, but the most popular time to travel is during the cool and dry season from November to February, when temperatures are more comfortable and conditions are ideal for sightseeing, trekking, and river journeys. During March and April, temperatures can become very hot, particularly in lowland areas. The rainy season from May to October brings lush green landscapes, powerful waterfalls, and fewer tourists, making it a great option for travellers who don't mind occasional showers. The best time to visit ultimately depends on your travel style, but every season reveals a different side of Laos.
