Day 1-2: Kickstart your adventure in Mexico City
After arriving in Mexico City, you can take some time to recover from your flight or head straight out to explore part of this colourful capital. In the evening, you'll meet the rest of your group.
Mexico City is huge, so it can be difficult to know where to start. Luckily, the next day a local guide will take you and your new travel buddies on a city tour. You'll visit the Monument to the Revolution, where you'll enjoy panoramic views over the city while learning more about Mexico's history. Before lunch, you'll discover several other highlights with your guide.
After enjoying some delicious tacos for lunch, you'll have the afternoon free to continue exploring at your own pace.
Think that's all? Not quite. The following day, you'll hop aboard a traditional trajinera boat and cruise through the historic canals of Xochimilco, part of the ancient water system built by the Aztecs.

Travelling as part of a group tour is one of the safest ways to explore Mexico. You'll be accompanied by experienced local guides who know the area well, help you navigate each destination and are there to support you throughout your journey. This allows you to relax and enjoy the experience while still having the freedom to explore during your free time.
Definitely! Many travellers choose to spend extra time in places like Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel or Holbox after completing the itinerary. We can help you arrange additional accommodation or flights.
Absolutely! Many travellers join on their own, making it easy to meet new people from day one. You'll travel with a group throughout the 14-day Mexico tour, and your tour leader will help everyone get to know each other.
You must be at least 18 years old to join this trip.
After successfully completing the course, you'll receive an SSI Open Water Diver certification. This internationally recognised certification allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres with a buddy anywhere in the world.
Yes. If diving isn't for you, it's possible to book this trip without the SSI Open Water Diver course. You'll need a reasonable level of fitness. Expect plenty of walking through cities and archaeological sites, some boat trips, swimming opportunities and several days of diving. You don't need to be an athlete, but being comfortable with active days will help you enjoy the trip even more.
