Road Trip USA: Southern Winter Sun

Your adventure begins in Miami, where we've included 3 nights in a hostel and a full-day trip to the Everglades National Park. Soak up the city's beaches, colourful neighbourhoods, and vibrant atmosphere before hitting the open road.

From Miami, make your way to Key West via the famous Overseas Highway, then continue along Florida's Gulf Coast. Stop in places like Tampa and Crystal River, known for its resident manatees, before ending the week in the laid-back beach town of Pensacola.

Continue west into Louisiana and spend time exploring the unique city of New Orleans. Wander through historic streets, discover local cuisine, and experience the city's legendary live music scene. Whether you're into jazz, food, or simply great atmosphere, New Orleans is a road-trip highlight.

Cross into Texas and experience the vast landscapes that define the American Southwest. Explore cities such as Houston and San Antonio, where modern city life meets rich history and culture.

As you continue west, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic. Drive through wide-open desert landscapes and spend time exploring Big Bend National Park, one of the most spectacular natural areas in the country.

Your next stop is New Mexico, where you can visit the famous town of Roswell and continue towards El Paso, a city shaped by both American and Mexican influences.

From here, head into Arizona, home to some of the Southwest's most iconic landscapes. Discover the giant cacti of Saguaro National Park, explore the desert surroundings of Tucson, and take in the breathtaking red rock scenery around Sedona. Finish your Arizona adventure in Phoenix before continuing west.

Cross into California and experience the unique landscapes of Joshua Tree National Park, where rugged desert scenery and iconic Joshua trees create a truly unforgettable setting.

The final stretch takes you to Los Angeles, where we've included 3 nights in a hostel near Venice Beach. After thousands of kilometres on the road, this is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the California sunshine, and reflect on an epic cross-country adventure before flying home.
